AC Milan could be involved in a goalkeeping carousel this summer which may well see Mike Maignan depart the club, according to a report.
Today’s edition of The Sun (via TBR) reports that Milan have an interest in signing goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal subject to the possibility of Maignan being sold ahead of the 2024-25 season amid uncertainties over a potential contract renewal.
That is because Manchester City are said to be interested in the Frenchman should Ederson depart, and he has interest from Saudi Arabia who could formulate a proposal for the Brazilian that they cannot turn down.
The Gunners would be willing to sell Ramsdale having made David Raya the established number one between the sticks, but they want £30m which is around €35m. It is a figure that is likely to be substantially less than what Milan get for Maignan, though.
Arsenal are lining up a move for Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow as a potential replacement for Ramsdale if he were to go, as a profile they believe can be a reliable back up and potentially even challenge for the starting spot in time.
However, it seems that everything hinges on Manchester City and whether they choose to sell Ederson to the Middle East, and then if they choose to use that money to go for Maignan.

Apart from being cráp ( the fact arsenal brought a new gk proves that) he also earns 4M net. And a 30M+ fee? Shît, sportiello is better than him.. a +30M for a sub gk.. wtf will they think of next…
He’s actually a very good shotstopper, he just doesn’t 100% fit the identikit Arteta wanted as his biggest weakness is with the ball at his feet.

Once again, he’s very good at the primary job of a goalkeeper: stopping shots. Arsenal prioritize building from the back with a ball player gk much more heavily than Milan do, that’s why Arteta went for Raya.
I have no doubt that we won’t be interested in Ramsdale, but Man City ‘might’ take a look at Maignan if he performed well in Euro, as his style (good with the feet and distribution) actually complements well with how Man City plays, and he’s a far stronger GK than Ederson IMHO.
Whether Maignan wants to take a ‘gamble’ of joining team which “might” just be relegated next seasons due to the 115 charges they faced, that I have no idea.
ManCity isn’t going anywhere. That’s what deep pockets get you – a slap on the wrist. A fine and a transfer ban of a year or something, which ManCity is deep enough to survive.
There is a reason Arsenal replaced Ramsdale. Great Shotstopper, not great with the ball at his feet. Decent but not great. At a budget in the 30 million range, its way too much! No way Milan will pay that for him! Especially if they get less than that for Magic Mike.
If Milan lost Maignan, i prefer recruit another Goalkeeper like Barca subtitute Goal keeper, or Kepa.
