Suso happy to see Milan flying: “I followed the team because they’re part of my heart”

Sevilla winger Suso has revealed that he was pleased to see AC Milan end the 2019-20 season in the way that they did.

Sevilla recently confirmed the permanent signing of Suso on a five-year contract via their official website. The Andalusian club confirmed their qualification for next year’s Champions League, triggering an obligation to buy in the loan deal.

MilanNews were among those who stated that Milan will receive €24million from the Spaniard’s departure, of which €23.6m is pure capital gains as the club paid a minimal fee to sign the winger.

The former Liverpool man will appear in the Europa League final later in the week as his side beat Manchester United 2-1 in the semi-finals, with Suso scoring the equaliser in the first half.

After the game he spoke to Sky Italia (via MilanNews) and even offered a comment on the Rossoneri.

“Milan finished the campaign very well,” Suso said.

“I followed the team because they’re part of my heart. I played there for several years.”

However, the 26-year-old seems to have no regrets regarding his move.

“I wanted to come here for my team-mates and the coach, I’m happy both for me and for them.”
