Suso: “I’m sorry to my club, my teammates, my fans and my coach”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan winger Suso has apologised to fans for his red card during Saturday’s 2-1 win over SPAL at San Siro.

The Spaniard received two yellow cards towards the end of the game, which in turn rules him out for the Supercoppa Italiana against Juventus on January 16.

“I’m sorry. For my club, for my teammates, for my fans, for my Coach. For myself,” he wrote on Instagram.

“[It was] a red card that was perhaps avoidable and, in my opinion, quite unfair.

“Certainly no-one will give me back the chance to play and help my team in the Supercoppa against Juventus.

“As for everything else… [it was] an excellent three points, [I’m] happy for Gonzalo Higuain and his goal.

“The Champions League is there at our fingertips. Happy New Year and Happy 2019, which will start with so much anger on my part, however!”
