Suso insists it’s different with Pioli; says he reminds him of Gattuso

In a long interview with Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), Suso spoke about all things AC Milan, given the current situation at the club. However, he insisted that things have changed for the better since Pioli arrived.

The Spaniard has been disappointing at the start of this season, just like the rest of his teammates. However, since he normally is significantly better than most of the players, he has also received a lot more criticism from the Rossoneri faithful.

In the interview, Suso shared his thoughts on Pioli, who arrived a few weeks back to replace Giampaolo. In the winger’s words, things have changed for the better, while the manager reminds him of Gattuso attitude-wise.

“Pioli? I didn’t know him. He reminds me a lot of Gattuso, because he likes to talk, he asks what you think and how you feel. The psychological aspect is very important and I think he works a lot on this, based on the short time I have known him.

“Giampaolo? Before the match against Lecce, we were 4 points from the Champions League zone. The thing that makes you angry is that I didn’t see a team before. I don’t know, it was a strange thing. With Pioli, it’s different,” he stated.

After the 1-1 draw against Napoli, the Rossoneri will be looking to claim all three points against Parma on Sunday afternoon. If anything, they desperately need it, sitting in 13th place in the standings with just 14 points.
