Mediaset: Tare, Allegri, Ricci – Milan’s ideas becoming clearer for Italian-led revolution

The AC Milan leadership are beginning to form ideas on who they want to acquire to begin what they hope will be a successful new era.

With Milan currently ninth in the Serie A table and the prospect of no Champions League football now virtually a certainty, some big decisions face the current management. There are huge changes expected, above all in the sporting director and head coach roles.

According to Claudio Raimondi’s latest for SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Igli Tare is getting increasingly closer to becoming Milan’s new director after the meeting in Rome with the CEO Giorgio Furlani on Tuesday.

The face-to-face discussion was positive, even if there is no agreement at present. Furlani felt that the talks went well, and a big factor in favour of the former Lazio director is that he is free from contract so could begin work on the future immediately.

That is music to the ears of Milan, who are in a hurry to put things in place for 2025-26, knowing the director will have a big say on the choice of the new coach. Speaking of which, Tare is convinced that Massimiliano Allegri is the right profile to relaunch Milan.

The Rossoneri want to become more Italian not only in the management and the coaching staff, but also the squad. For this reason they are ready to go on the attack for Samuele Ricci, a Torino midfielder who is valued at no less than €35m.

  1. Bring back Tonali!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    No Allegri PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. If you want an Italian midfielder, especially for no less than 35 mil, then go get Nicolo Rovella from Lazio.
Ricci isn’t even as good as Bryan Cristante, who you can probably get for 10 mil and you’ll be getting a better player with experience at the highest stage.

    1. Ricci and Tiji infront of back 3 out Gabbia, Pavlovic, Thaiw, Tomori and Cummozo would be pretty good, especially with Theo and Gimminez as wing backs.

We would have a balance team and Tiji could comfortably join the attack without having to worry about the defensive balance of team.

Rovello is a good but Ricci will rejuvenate the Milan midfield, Ricci and Cummozo could become our Barella and Bastoni.

You add J David to the above with what we already have at Milan, we are then serious challengers in Italy and Europe

      1. Nah Rovella is much better and rejuvenate the midfield Ricci is more of the same. Also Ricci isn’t good at progressive passing, which Milan need the most. Rovella on the other hand is one of the best.

    2. 100% agree, I don’t get the hype on Ricci (I do it’s the Italian bias) I see a average midfielder who is young and could improve. Rovella is so much better, both with the eye test and statistically. Rovella is already a star in the making.

  3. As a clever italian commentator wrote very sharply – it took 100 cardinals just one day to choose the pope ……. and it is taking that stupid unshaven dwarf with designer glasses called furlani some 6 months to choose a sporting director …. when in fact the only one immediately available is the “italian” tare!!!
    What an ass!!!!!OMG …..

  4. Last year milan qualified to the CL because juventus were punished for God knows what this time. In reality since Redbird took control things have only gotten worse. From champions to qualifying because of a technicality to not qualifying in 3 seasons. I don’t know who the best player or.sporting director is and if I did I wouldn’t be a fan I would be in the business but I can see that Redbird should sell leave. Berlisconi let milan slip when he wasn’t interested anymore and redbird are rectally trying but seems making all the wrong moves.
