MN: Tare to ‘finally’ join Milan but with a ‘warning’ from Furlani

Giorgio Furlani has now returned to Igli Tare after months of him being linked to AC Milan. However, it is not without a warning.

The entire management was restructured as a result of the interest in Tare. Yes, Furlani, at one point, was that against the idea that he sought more control from Gerry Cardinale and was granted it.

After months of chasing dead ends, though, Milan are now set to hire the Albanian director of football, which, in itself, is a baffling idea, given it brings up a conversation about the club’s belief in him. However, here we are.

There are several heavyweight tasks to deal with this summer, but the director is ‘ready’ for it, according to reports. It will certainly be intriguing to see how his tenure goes, but he will still have to report to those above him.

As Milan News recalls, just last week, Furlani stated that the club would still decide the transfers. So, Tare could provide his ideal list, and the management could go against his wishes and go elsewhere. If this were to be the case, his appointment would be pointless.

We must see how things unfold, but Tare has to be the reference point and leading man in the football side of things. He cannot just be a passenger.

  1. Tare is shooting himself in the foot here. Clueless bankers. There is no good SD, player, coach that wants to join the this mess that clueless bankers have created. Come on Arabs buy buy buy.

    1. You are very correct.
The fact that Pulisic is considering leaving because it doesn’t seem like there’s an interesting project in the club says a lot.
I think the management just want to make Top 4, and if trophy comes fine, and if not, it’s also fine. But their project is PROJECT TOP 4.
      PT4!!

      1. PT4 is quite good to be honest. You can even say the same about our glorious 2003-2008 team. Today is something different. The philosophy of running a club from a short term financial perspective only. Luckily, it is a loose loose situation for all, and we will get new owners sooner rather than later.

        1. The glorious 2003-2008 team had winning UCL as target, the team were designed for European match instead of Serie A match.

  2. Furlani: I have oversight and will make things difficult for you.
Tare: it’s ok. I’m used to working with @$$holes.

    1. I was going to say that he has shown he can cope with this after working under Lotito for all those years.
He’s probably got more independence in that he can appeal to Cardinale to over rule Furlani.

      1. Yea but Lazio isn’t going anywhere under their current structure. Just like Milan isn’t really going anywhere with the same clowns in charge.

  3. Okay I am convinced now
Elliott are literally using Milan as a money laundering medium
Soon enough Redbird will ‘fail’ to pay the loan, Elliott will repossess the club and loan it again to some other company

Else, why the f*ck is Furlani, an Elliott employee, put in charge of a club that is supposedly owned by Redbird?

    1. They would be out of the picture if Redbird had the money to buy the club outright instead of using a vendor loan.

  4. The season of dithering, low balling and then signing the 4/5th name on the shopping list has obviously worked so well this season that we are making an early start for next 👏👏👏🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

  5. After the disaster of this season, how can rat Furlani give anyone any “warning?” Why is this rat calling any shots? He’s a loser

  6. once we have a SD, can we please get Ibra out, Moncada back to scouting, Furlani only negotiating stuff? just anyone who is not coach or SD far away from the trainingground.

  7. So the Sporting Director doesn’t decide the transfers? What’s the frickn point then? A sporting director with no authority? I guess he’s just there to have someone to blame if things don’t work out.
Furlani seems to be the big problem here. He somehow got Cardinale to give him all the decision making power, and he doesn’t want to give it up. He also doesn’t seem to want to make any decisions either. This is not a good look.

    1. He didn’t “get” Cardinale to give him anything, Furlani is Elliot’s employee, the same Elliot who still technically own the club since RedBird has yet to pay the loan. Cardinale can’t do anything about Furlani (at least not yet). You can almost claim that Furlani is higher in the hierarchy.
And Furlani doesn’t understand anything in football, he is just a banker.
I guess the point of a Sport Director is to somehow please the fans & media who were screaming for one and have someone to blame if (when) things don’t work out as you pointed out.
And yes, I agree that this is not a good look.

  8. anybody who accepts a job from these parasites is shooting himself in the foot. I even feel sorry for tare. The boycott lives on.

  9. anyways, i thought that Furlani was a Milan Employee and had resigned from Elliot? The SD is a smokescreen just to confuse the “ignorant” fans and allow him to retain full control over all matters sporting and financial.
Everything is just messed up and disorganized, and it seems that is intentional from management. Intentionally distract and divert attention from their moneyball schemes.

  10. What you guys complaining about this makes perfect sense – didn’t Marota have to ask Zhang for permission to buy Bastoni? 🥹

    1. welp, inter case is just right.. marota ask zhang which is the owner.. while tare would need to ask furlani instead of gerry..

  11. Saya sudah bilang dari AWAL. Bahwasannya CARDINALE REDBIRD,FURLANI ELLIOT MESTI MENJUAL MILAN KEPADA PENGUSAHA YANG MEMAHAMI SEPAKBOLA ITALIA DAN SEJARAH MILAN. SEMUA DIREKSI MESTI DI GANTI DAN REVOLUSI MANAGEMENT MILAN. PERCUMA KALAU TARE, SERGIO CONCEICAO ATAU SIAPA PELATIH HEBAT MELATIH MILAN, KALAU MASIH ADA FURLANI, CARDINALE BESERTA DIREKSI YANG SAMA. SEMUANYA HANYA MEMENTINGKAN BISNIS DAN MONEY BALL. BUKAN KUALITAS MAUPUN KUANTITAS SEPAKBOLA YANG MEREKA BANGUN,TAPI HANYA SEBATAS BISNIS. INILAH YANG BIKIN RUSAK SEPAKBOLA

  12. As long as we will have these clown owners, and their incompetant directors, Zlatan included, we will never get out of this situation.
And it is not just this owner. They are not the problem if we take a macro point of view.
The biggest problem is that they are leftist, unmasculine people.
The other problem is that they dont know the italian culture, and they see us as bricks on a playground.
    They dont even know soccer.
I could never imagine this unprofessional conducts. The mistakes just keep piling up.
    We are doomed.
I hope the milanistas continues to critisize Cardinale, so he just looses his interest.
I have no doubt that Zlatan could be really useful in our beloved club. But in an henshouse of unmasculine communists, he is chanceless.

  13. Why can’t everyone stick to their role. Furlani is trying to cover his ass in case of failure he won’t be in the hot seat. This is a freaking joke. If that is the case Tare won’t last and we’ll never have a proper Sporting director because nobody will work like that so that much oversight

  14. Another bad hire to go with our terrible management team. Match made in heaven.

Not sure what Tare brings to the table other than he knows how to work with Cheap a$$h0les – so he will feel right at home with Redbird

    1. Nothing changes while Elliott and RedBird both have a hold on Milan. Competent DS’s understand this. That’s why the likes of Sartori and even D’Amico probably laughed at Furlani’s approach.

  15. It is clear that DIRTY BRAT FURLANI wants to remain in full control at milan even though he is an idiot, ignorant, stupid and cannot take decisions.
Tare is equally stupid to accept being under the command of DIRTY BRAT FURLANI.
CLEARLY ANOTHER DISASTER YEAR LIES AHEAD.

  16. that’s how the hierarchy works. but i’m afraid that would waste so much time just to sign a single target. as we all know it, furlani way of decision making and negotiation is super slow. and they are bound to miss more than they’ll hit. don’t even know what project the management has to offer that would be appealing for the new hire. looking at their records; some guys looks betrayed after they sign their contract.
