Tatarusanu gears up as Maignan requires surgery – Milan’s record with him

By Isak Möller -

Mike Maignan will undergo surgery tomorrow as he’s struggling with pain in his left wrist, which you can read more about here. As a result of this, Ciprian Tatarusanu will be between the sticks for the next few games.

Maignan has been an important player for Milan this season and in addition to making many good saves, his distribution has been on point. It’s a big blow to be without him for what will be at least three games, as things stand.

Tatarusanu had made five official appearances for Milan since he joined the club, with a record of three wins, one draw and one loss. The latter came against Inter in the Coppa Italia clash of last season, which finished 2-1.

It’s perhaps worth noting that he has only made one Serie A appearance for the club and it was against Roma. The game finished 3-3 and the goalkeeper made a huge mistake, which the fans certainly haven’t forgotten about.
