Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tatrusanu is set to start for AC Milan against AS Roma on Sunday night but he will then be under pressure from Devis Vasquez, a report claims.
As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), there is going to be a battle between the two goalkeepers whilst Mike Maignan is recovering from his injury.
The Coppa Italia clash against Torino is coming up soon and Milan coach Stefano Pioli hinted that Vasquez may get the chance to start that game if he impresses in training and looks ready.
“I spoke with him, he has a good personality. Possible debut in the Coppa Italia with Toro? We’ll see,” Pioli said in his press conference.
Vasquez was signed by the club at the start of January and the 1998-born Colombian is expected to put some serious pressure on Tatarusanu who has been deputising for Maignan for much of the season.
There is still no real time frame on when the Frenchman will be back between the sticks for the Rossoneri again.
