After being sacked by Liverpool, Arne Slot is now the leading candidate to become the new manager of AC Milan, according to a report.
Milan decided to part ways with Massimiliano Allegri after the defeat to Cagliari, also sacking the CEO, the sporting director and the chief scout. Subsequently, they are looking for several figures to lead the next project, including a head coach.

Oliver Glasner has been mentioned as the primary candidate by Fabrizio Romano, while Ralf Rangnick seems to be in pole position to become the main director. However, a new name has now been thrown into the mix.
Slot to Milan?!
According to Sacha Tavolieri, as a result of Liverpool’s decision to sack Arne Slot, the Dutch manager is now the leading candidate to take over Milan. Contacts are underway between the parties, while Ramon Planes is also the frontrunner for the sporting director role.
It’s a bit of a surprise as none of the reports in recent days have even mentioned Slot, not to mention that the reports this morning (and this afternoon) painted Glasner as the clear favourite. On the other hand, it technically wasn’t until this afternoon that Slot became available.
Tavolieri isn’t the most reliable journalist around, but he’s also not known for making things up or even exaggerating his information. As such, it’s worth keeping an eye on, even if Slot doesn’t feel like a likely candidate.

Glasner won Conference league and FA cup. lost eze and guehi this season. prem is not easy and what hes done with palace is impressive. but i think italiano is worth a shot. Poch is garbage but i think ragnick as director could lead milan the right way.

Tavolieri’s info is very questionable to say the least. Ok, he got fired and is available, but it doesn’t mean anything. Personally, I only trust Romano and I really hope we get Glasner and Rangnick.

They said Iraola isn’t coming to Milan because he likes to stay in England and London, plus he likes Crystal Palace offer. The next day he isn’t going to Crystal Palace but he is going to Bayer Leverkusen because he likes that project better. Today Iraola is the 1, the 2 and the n3 coach to replace Slot at Liverpool.

LFC was pretty tepid this year. I think there was some locker room issues with Salah who really isn’t the player he used to be but acts like he is. A player who doesn’t produce and doesn’t play defense is a liability- sound familar. Yes, he won the EPL title his first year but LFC has been up and down this year. I have no opinion on hiring him except to note that other than Poch he has been at a big club.
Yeah he didnt seem to be able to build a very good relationship with his players (like Klopp was). Also Dutch coaches tend to be very arrogant and incapable of changing their ways. Its my way or the highway mentality, and they often clash with several players in their squads.
As a big Liverpool fan as well, I have seen every game they have played since Slot took over and the first year when he played Klopps team, and just did some minor changes it went fine. This year when he got to spend 480 million euros and bring in his type of players, it went horrible. They did have Jotas death, and alot of injuries to cope with, but his tactic of slow possession based football was extremely ineffective. And he also seem to have lost the dressing room.

Interesting take. I saw a few games and LFC seemed slow and not very dynamic. Didn’t know they spent that much money in order to regress.
So, Milan want a manager profile like Iraola, and when that falls through they go for either Glasner, who likes to defend low and give up possession just like Allegri, but is a little sharper on the counterattack, or Slot, who just got fired because he doesnt play the high pressure, high intensity football that Klopp and Iralola does?
It doesnt seem to a red thread here or any thought behind the names, just to get best known name available for each position. Unless these reports are just made up BS.
Jaissle as coach and Rangnick as sporting director would make alot of sense, looking at his tactical style and their relationship.
Or Jaissle, with Ramon Planes for SD since Ragnick and Zlatan will be fist fighting each other within a month (and Cardinale doesnt want a one man show, which is exactly what Rangnick is).
All of this is media speculation, driven in part by the entourages of the coaches planting stories to try and get some traction….
Oh no no no!!! I watched every Liverpool game and I saw the same unimaginative game that Allegri had. Both were unwatchable. No imagination and no system in the game, we just put the big names in and then they either solve it or they don’t.

Guys Media are trying to sell the story, due to uncertainty. Thing will change in my opinion for good, we will need the give it some time yes for sure and there will be plenty of people here talking trash bit I think this will be blessing in the sky as it force what is currently happening.
We have the name, we have financial stability and we already have decent team. Now it’s time to put some proper structure together.
Don’t forget this same team even with pathetic Allegri showed potential. Sure some will leave and some others will come but that’s how it goes
