Telegraph: Chelsea waiting to hear if Milan still want to sign English midfielder

Chelsea are now waiting to hear if AC Milan still want to pursue a move for Ruben Loftus-Cheek given Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have been dismissed, a report claims.

As has been reported by The Daily Telegraph (via Milan News), have been left slightly confused by the recent developments at Milan that have seen technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara depart the club.

They were both the driving force behind Milan’s interest in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and the deal appeared to be progressing very well.

With those two directors now gone, there is confusion around whether Milan still actually want to push ahead with the deal or if Chelsea and the player should be looking elsewhere.

An €18 million deal seemed to be on the cards between Milan and Chelsea for the former Crystal Palace loanee, but it could now be off the cards if Milan take too long to reaffirm their interest.
