Telegraph: Milan and Chelsea in talks over winger but there is no agreement on formula

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have held talks with Chelsea over the possibility of signing winger Hakim Ziyech but there is no agreement yet, a report claims.

According to what was reported by Matt Law – the Chelsea correspondent for The Telegraph – Milan have started negotiations to sign Ziyech on loan having tried for him last summer. However, he reports that the Blues would prefer a permanent sale in order to raise funds now.

The report is based around how Thomas Tuchel’s side are having difficulty in getting rid of some of the players that are no longer part of their plans and doing so on their own terms, with a few of them potentially set to be stuck beyond the summer.

Given that Milan are also currently in negotiations over the signing of Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge – as Paolo Maldini confirmed – it remains to be seen whether Ziyech will be a player the management go all-in for.

  1. No news for the last month. This will be a late deal, if it ever will be done. Chelsea has to be made more desperate first.

    1. Agreed. I can see Chelsea accepting a loan with obligation to buy towards the end of the transfer window if they fail to offload him. Best case scenario for Milan would be for them to provide a loan with option instead. At his age, an obligation seems a bit too risky for my liking at what would likely be around 20 million to buy permanently.

  2. I sincerely hope that somewhere in the universe there is a club with which the Milan management will be able to agree !!!
