Telelombardia: The five signings Conte would want to ease Milan’s 3-5-2 transition

Antonio Conte would ask for five quality signings if he were to become the head coach of AC Milan, including a couple of players that he knows very well.

Late last month, Luca Momblano did a segment live on Telelombardia in which he claimed that Conte has reached a verbal agreement to take over at Milan, and since then the rumours have gone into overdrive again.

Now, the same source have taken a look at the signings that Conte has apparently asked for, starting with Romelu Lukaku whom he worked with at Inter. He is likely to leave Roma, and would cost about €40m.

The same amount would be spent on Federico Chiesa, who Juventus could sacrifice in the summer to finance their summer transfer plans especially amid the questionable way Max Allegri is using him,

In midfield, then, Conte would like Rodrigo de Paul – currently at Atlético Madrid – whose value is around €30m. At centre-back, Alessandro Buongiorno of Torino is a target for around €40m.

However, the first signing in the summer that Conte would love to have for his Milan is Giovanni Di Lorenzo. Conte believes Davide Calabria is not a good fit for his 3-5-2, so he has the Napoli captain in his sights who is worth €30m.

How would all these signings be finances? With the sale of Rafael Leão to PSG or another club as per the source, and with the money from other sales like Charles De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers.
