Luka Modric is clearly a class above in every sense and AC Milan have enjoyed seeing him in action this season.
When he was linked in the summer, there may have been a few reservations about his ability to perform at his previous levels. After all, he had been phased out of the Real Madrid squad gradually and some thought that he may have been a little out of it.

Nevertheless, for the past 12 months, Milan fans have enjoyed the experience of watching one of the greatest midfielders of the modern era perform. Indeed, it is thanks to him that the Rossoneri contended at the top for so long.
Terracciano’s praise for Milan teammates
The Italian full-back discussed his limited experience training with Luka Modric this season when speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Calciomercato.com.
“I enjoyed three of his training sessions. At the end of training, I called my dad and told him what I’d seen. At the end of training, there was a training session for him, Ricci, and Jashari. You look at Samuele and Ardon and you say they’re strong.
“You see him and you’re amazed by the quality of the balls he puts in. Zero misplaced balls in three days. We played together against Chelsea; it was a dream for me. Two days later, I was leaving for Cremonese, and I made a change of sides when I could have given him the ball.
“He shouted at me to stay calm, then congratulated me because I’d succeeded.”
He also had compliments for two other Milan teammates in Mike Maignan and Matteo Gabbia, both of whom are probably the best captain options within the squad.
“Maignan taught me a lot in terms of character; I started asking him a lot of questions. He always does everything well; an incredible example, as is Luka. I’ve asked him a lot of questions, too, but I haven’t had much experience with him. Then there’s Matteo Gabbia; I’ve learned a lot from him.”
He isn’t really a full back.
I don’t know what his position really is.
He played the whole season at Cremonese at LCB. Not sure if Mikan were expecting that.
At Milan more games at LB but occasionally a defensive mid during injury crisis and he did ok. I think he commented at the time that he’d played a lot of youth football in that position.
He also got more goals last season than Gimenez + Fullkrug. 😆
If we continue to play 3 CBs there is a role for him as squad player. Helps with UEFA list quotas.

For Verona youth he played as a midfielder when he got promoted to verona first team he played as Right midfielder. At Milan he played most of his games at FB, right and left. This season most at Cremonese CB. There is no position he have played more than the others in professional football thought. But he originates from midfield
