Romano: Theo Hernandez receives ‘approaches from many European clubs’ but ‘only wants’ Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will soon announce the extension of Theo Hernandez’s contract as several reports recently have suggested, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the news.

On Twitter, Romano claims that Milan have reached a ‘full agreement’ with Theo Hernández and will soon be able to ‘announce his contract extension’ which should happen ‘in the next days’.

The Sky journalist states that it is a new ‘five year deal’ which we can infer means that the deadline will shift to 2026 or 2027 given we are just over half way through a campaign, and his previous contract expiry was 2024.

Romano also claims that Theo ‘only wants to stay’ with the Rossoneri despite having received ‘approaches from many European clubs’ showing his attachment to the club, to his team-mates and also to the staff including head coach Stefano Pioli plus technical director Paolo Maldini, who together have made him probably the best full-back in the league.
