Theo Hernandez speaks ahead of Celtic clash: “With a win we can be more relaxed”

By Oliver Fisher -

Before the match against Celtic, Theo Hernandez spoke to Sky Italia about upcoming Europa League game against the Scottish side.

The Rossoneri go into the game knowing that they are 90 minutes away from either having their qualification secured or will face another dreaded winner-takes-all shootout in the sixth round of matches, just as they did in 2018-19 when they were dumped out by Olympiakos.

Milan have a relatively fit squad available for this game, and although Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafael Leao are still out injured with muscle problems, Ismael Bennacer and Samu Castillejo are both back and in contention.

Theo spoke to the Sky cameras and insisted that Celtic – who have won 2 of their last 10 in all competitions and are in crisis – will be difficult opponents.

“We know it will be a difficult match, but we are in a good moment and we have to give our best. With a win we can be more relaxed,” he said (via MilanNews).

Stefano Pioli will return to the dugout having missed the last three games due to Corovanirus, which is a big boost to the group despite the positive results in his absence.

“We are happy that he is back. We must go our own way and give everything on the pitch,” he added.

On the Europa League: “We don’t think too far, we think one game at a time. The goal is to try to win them all and continue our growth.”
