Theo Hernandez has given an interview discussing his passion for music and what it will be like to return to the field with Milan.
The Frenchman was not available for Friday’s Coppa Italia exit at the hands of Juventus due to suspension, but he will be back for the trip to Lecce on Monday June 22.
Theo spoke to Radio 105 about his taste in music, with the questions and answers transcribed by MilanLive from the video below.
Favourite music genre?
“I like reggaeton a lot.”
Is there a singer who was your favourite when you were a kid?
“No, but now there are several. Ozuna, Marc Anthony and others … I listen to songs that relax me and make me happy.”
Is there a song you put on before an important game to get you energised?
“There isn’t one. I have a list on my phone and I start from the first to the last.”
Is there a song that reminds you of Italy?
“Sara perche ti amo. I heard it when I arrived in Italy and at home I listen to it a lot. I know that the one the Curva sings is different from the original.”
Who plays the most music in the squad?
“There are several and they listen to different music. There is Calhanoglu who plays many songs, especially in English. Castillejo puts mostly flamenco music. There is a bit of everything, everyone plays their own favourite. When we don’t like a song, we stop and put another one.”
Did you go to concerts when you could?
“Yes, I went to many. For example to those of Ozuna, Daddy Yankee and others. I really like concerts. Favourite concert? Alejandro Sanz’s in Madrid was very beautiful. I was with my mother and a friend, it was spectacular.”
Which concert will you want to see as soon as you can?
“I wish I could have seen Jennifer Lopez and Shakira in the Super Bowl. I’d like to see Drake and Travis Scott. I think that soon it will be possible to return to normal and I will be able to see what I like.”
Do you play Fortnite?
“Yes, I play a lot. I saw Travis Scott’s virtual concert like this and it’s not the same as when you see it live. You can’t compare live with computer.”
What song are you listening to right now?
“Tusa by Karol G. I listen to her a lot in the house and in the car.”
Do you like any Italian singers?
“I know there are good ones, but I don’t know them well yet and I don’t listen much.”
Favourite DJ?
“David Guetta.”
Did you train with music or without music during the break?
“With music always. If I train at home without, I get bored. We are happy to return to play, it is what I like and love. We want to end the season well and make the fans happy. We hope to do as well as possible in the next season.”
