Theo admits he ‘really likes’ playing alongside Milan-linked Juventus midfielder

By Ben Dixon -

AC Milan will invest in their midfield during the summer mercato, and they have been linked with a teammate of Theo Hernandez’s, and the left-back offered his opinion on playing alongside him for France.

In recent days, there have been reports about Milan preparing a shock move for Adrien Rabiot, which could see Ismael Bennacer leave the club, or vice versa, Bennacer departing could initiate a move for the Frenchman.

It comes after reports had suggested that the Rossoneri had enquired about the midfielder, who is reportedly ‘at the centre of their summer mercato plans’ and could arrive alongside a more defensive-minded midfielder, such as Matts Wieffer.

Ahead of France’s opening game of the tournament, Theo Hernandez spoke to the media about his current situation, and he spoke of his relationship with Rabiot.

On Rabiot: “He’s great, I really like playing with him because sometimes he tells me what to do.”

Given his comments during the press conference, it remains to be seen if Hernandez will get the chance to play with Rabiot for the Diavolo, with both players’ futures in the air.

        1. Lyon started playing in its own brand new stadium in 2016. Last year they were on the verge of bankruptcy because they still have to pay their debts, including around 1B€ in construction costs for that stadium and the real estate surrounding. The good thing is that we have bankers at the helm so we should avoid that situation. The bad thing is that we should not be able to get profitable revenues from the stadium before 2035 at best. Lyon built its own stadium because the owner wanted to raise the value of the club, that was sold in 2022.

          1. Lyon has been ran like shít for 15-20 years.. Big surprise they went close to bankruptcy. Milan has been stable AF since muricans took over and the club/brand value is skyrocketing. We will be fine even if Gary sells the second we get a stadium, which he won’t. If i understand this right Milan is a long term investment for redbird.

          2. I agree that Lyon was run badly but there’s zero doubt that the stadium needs at least 7-8 years to turn into profit.

  1. Unlike Lyon we have an average attendance of 70k at San Siro. Meaning we will have close to a “sell out” several times during the season. Our stadium should generate more income. Not to mention naming rights and the potential for generating income from advertising etc. Having said this, I recall Wenger having to wait before he could spend big at Arsenal due to the stadium and its overheads. It’s going to take some time but we should be much better for it after

  2. Giving rabbiot 8-10m euro nett salary ( he reject juve offer 7,5m nett salary / years) will causing other player asking same amount or more. Look at inter giving almost 7m euro nett for marcus thuram and now all their key player asking more for renewal like lautaro 10m euro nett & barella 7,5m euro nett . Thats still not counting bastoni ,di marco & hakan renewal. Matt wiefer or fofana still good option for DMF while rabbiot not

    1. And Deschamps has him playing like a left winger to save his legs. Look at how many assists he has with the French team
