Sky: Thiaw, Tonali and Giroud could rest vs. Salernitana – a possible chance for Zlatan

There could be a number of changes to AC Milan’s starting XI for the game against Salernitana with several players in need of rest, a report claims.

According to reports from Manuele Baiocchini of Sky (via MilanNews) Stefano Pioli could rest some of the players who have played a lot in the recent period for Monday’s game against Salernitana.

In particular the journalist suggested that Malick Thiaw, Sandro Tonali and Olivier Giroud could take a seat on the bench, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is getting back in shape and today played both 25-minute halves of the practice match with the Rossoneri’s Under 18 team.

Pioli hasn’t tried anything definitive yet in view of Monday’s match and more clues will emerge tomorrow and Sunday, but it’s not excluded that the Swede could have a chance from minute one against the Campania side in what would mark his first start of the season and in over nine months.
