GdS: Three games against Napoli at risk as Kalulu faces three weeks out

AC Milan looked like getting through the international break without an injury problem but instead Pierre Kalulu is facing a spell on the sidelines, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport recall how reports in France suggested at first that Kalulu had simply sustained a knock rather than a muscle strain, but in actual fact the checks he underwent today showed a calf problem.

The club’s press release did not indicate the degree of the injury, but the fact that the next checkup is expected in the short term suggests that the extent of the problem is not dramatic. However, it is enough to keep him out of Sunday’s game against Napoli and puts him at risk for the Champions League double-header against them on April 12 and 18 too.

Three weeks of absence is a legitimate projection and would see him miss both games, leaving Pioli with a selection headache going into three potentially season-defining games.
