Mike Maignan’s future with AC Milan remains uncertain and according to a report, Aston Villa and Chelsea have enquired about the Frenchman’s situation.
After many tough months this season, receiving heavy criticism from the fanbase and Italian media, Maignan now looks like a revived player. It started with three penalty saves for France while on international duty, followed up by great performances against Inter and Fiorentina.
That being said, the Frenchman’s future with the club hasn’t been decided, with the current deal expiring in 2026. Talks for a contract renewal are at an advanced stage but Milan decided to put the matter on hold due to the inconsistent performances, leaving the door open for an exit.
Sure enough, as reported by TMW’s Niccolo Ceccarini, the likes of Aston Villa and Chelsea are keeping tabs on the situation. They have even asked Milan for information on Maignan, who could be sold if the Rossoneri were to receive a good offer (in other words, he’s not unsellable).
Maignan stated after the game last night that he’s happy at Milan, but also that he didn’t want to talk about a potential renewal right. The remainder of the season will likely tell us a lot, especially as the Rossoneri might not get European football for the next campaign.

I still think Milan should sell him. Especially now that his form is improving now we can get at least 50m for him.
This guy is inconsistent, injury prone and gets beaten too easily at his near post. Sell Maignan, Theo, Tomori, Thiaw, Pavlovic, Chukwueze, Okafor, Musah, Morata, and Emerson.
All these players have to go this summer.

Perhaps only if they knew Martinez wanted to leave. I have no idea what the relationship is like there. I don’t watch EPL much but Chelsea’s number 1 seems to have to have good stats too.

It just doesn’t make sense that Villa want Mike, Chelsea in the other hand would probably like to have Mike instead of Sanchez. But if Mike want to renew his contract and try to make Milan in top 4 next season. I wouldn’t mind
