TMW: Atalanta goalkeeper reaches agreement with Milan over four-year deal

By Isak Möller -

It’s not exactly a secret that AC Milan have secured the services of Marco Sportiello from the summer and onwards. Today, however, new updates arrived on the length of the goalkeeper’s future contract.

Sportiello to Milan has been a ‘done deal’ for a few months now since his contract with Atalanta will expire in the summer. Milan are set to part ways with both Ciprian Tatarusanu and Antonio Mirante, thus in need of a new second choice.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Sportiello over a four-year deal. Nothing was mentioned with regard to the salary, but it’s believed that it will be around €1-1.5m per year.

Devis Vazquez might be sent out on loan but if not, then he will be the third-choice goalkeeper for Milan next season. Mike Maignan will remain the No.1, of course, and the Rossoneri are thrilled that he has disposed of the injury struggles.
