AC Milan remain interested in Marseille star Florian Thauvin who is expected to make a decision on his future soon, a report claims.
The Rossoneri continue to be heavily linked with a move for Thauvin, whose current deal with the Ligue 1 giants is set to expire in June 2021, meaning he would – as it stands – be available in a cut-price deal.
According to TMW, Milan are continuing to follow the 27-year-old very closely, and Marseille could accept a transfer fee of €3-4m in January knowing that the winger will leave for free a few months later.
A move to Milan is the first choice for the player, who has a five-year deal on the table put to him by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara worth €2.8m net per season, therefore a total of €14m.
In recent weeks, however, Sevilla have taken concrete steps too, offering more than Milan in terms of salary and therefore seizing pole position. Soon there will be a decision on the part of the player.
How does a transfer fee of “€3-4m” + a wage of “€2.8m” makes a total of “14m”?
