AC Milan are close to making a sale as Istanbul Basaksehir are set to buy Leo Duarte permanently after his 18 month loan, a report claims.
The summer window is always centred around who might arrive to strengthen the squad further ahead of the upcoming season, but funds to help that can also come from the sale of some players who are not deemed central to the project.
Duarte is one of those, as the centre-back arrived from Flamengo but failed to convince and and was loaned to Istanbul Basaksehir in January 2020, where he collected 33 league appearances in the 2021-22 campaign.
TMW reports that the negotiation for the loan to become permanent has been going on for days now, and the Turkish side have offered €2m. Milan are ready to accept this amount despite the one agreed at the beginning of the loan being higher, and in the coming days the details of the operation should be defined.
