TMW: Ibrahimovic could remain at Milan under Rangnick – decisive meeting on the cards

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could retain the services of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for another year even if there is a huge shake-up at management level, a report claims.

Zvonimir Boban and Paolo Maldini look set to leave the club due to differences with CEO Ivan Gazidis as per widespread reports, and the director duo were hugely influential in bringing Ibrahimovic back to Milan in January.

However, TMW are reporting that the Swede is enjoying life back in Serie A never denied feeling good under the Madonnina. Therefore, a solution could be found under which Ibrahimovic stays despite his contract being up in June.

In this sense, there could be a possible discussion with Rangnick – the current coordinator of Red Bull Football – who looks set to become sporting director and head coach of the Rossoneri once the season ends.

Ibrahimovic wants to hear what the plans of the German are, and for Rangnick’s part he seems to favour his stay into next season. In this sense, if Ibrahimovic obtains certainties, he could also decide to stay.
