TMW: Krunic involved as Milan eye January move for striker – the latest

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan could reinforce the team with a new striker in January and Rade Krunic is involved in this pursuit. According to a report, the Bosnian could be sold to increase the budget for the upcoming window.

The Rossoneri registered their fourth defeat of the season last night, conceding three goals against Atalanta away from home. The strikers Olivier Giroud and Luka Jovic both got on target, but it wasn’t enough due to a poor defensive display.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, despite Jovic’s resurgence of sorts, Milan are looking at signing a striker in January. Jonathan David is the main target and after a slow start to the season, his price tag is no longer €50m as it was in the summer.

Lille do not intend to make any big discounts, however, and Milan could use the funds of Krunic’s departure to increase their offer. The feeling is that the Rossoneri are willing to pay around €20-30m for a striker, which still might not be enough for the French side.

Fenerbahce remain interested in Krunic and Milan are ready to evaluate a sale, even if they won’t get €15m as they demanded in the summer. A centre-back is also a priority, as the report concludes, so the funds collected might be used for that position as well.
