TMW: Man Utd join Milan and Liverpool in race for Bundesliga man as they look to refresh defence

By Oliver Fisher -

Manchester United have joined AC Milan and Liverpool in the race to sign Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak, according to a report.

It’s no secret that Milan are looking for a centre-back on the market, having struggled with several injuries in that position throughout the season. With the January window coming up, several names have been linked.

Above all, Ozan Kabak (Schalke) and Mohamed Simakan (Strasbourg) have been linked with the Rossoneri. Both are very young and would fit the project, but it seems the directors have a favourite at the moment and it is the latter.

According to TMW though, Milan are still interested in a move for Kabak and so are Premier League champions Liverpool, who have been repeatedly linked over the past few months.

However, the tweet adds that Manchester United have also joined the pursuit of the 20-year-old as they are looking to ‘renew the defence of the future’.
