TMW: Marseille resigned to losing star man and Milan are in pole with €17m package ready

AC Milan are continuing to press hard to wrap up the signing of Florian Thauvin from Marseille, according to a report.

MilanNews reported on Saturday that the Rossoneri have kept in touch with the entourage of Florian Thauvin since the player could be available at a low cost as it is looking unlikely that he will renew with Marseille, where his current deal expires in June 2021.

According to the latest from Tuttomercatoweb, the contacts between Milan and Thauvin are constant and continuous, with Marseille now resigned to losing him on a free or in a cut-price deal as the player will not renew his contract.

Despite interest from Roma and Atalanta, Milan are in pole position and are readying a bid of around €3million to bring him to San Siro in January. The Rossoneri are also ready to match his current €2.8m net salary and will table a five-year deal, therefore a contract worth €14m.
