AC Milan are plotting a move for Emerson. After defining the managerial question, cancelling the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, the Rossoneri have started planning for the 2020/21 season and the upcoming transfer window.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, yesterday’s meeting Emerson’s agent wasn’t a coincidence. However, an obstacle remains in the Rossoneri’s pursuit of the player, specifically the high €30m demands of Barcelona.
The Catalan side, though, can justify the price tag by the fact that Real Betis are entitled to €6m in compensation and also 50% on a future resale. Therefore, Milan have hatched a complicated plan to try to lower the demands by satisfying the Seville side as well.
Lucas Paqueta could be the key for the operation, per the report, with the Rossoneri sending him on loan to Betis in exchange for them freeing Emerson straight away. Consequently, Barcelona would be able to pay less compensation and lower the price tag.
