TMW: Milan keeping tabs on Galatasaray midfielder valued at €15m

AC Milan have not stopped following the evolution of Lucas Torreira’s situation and could make a move in the future, a report claims.

TMW report how Torreira did not mince his words when he was asked why he chose to join Galatasaray over a Premier League or Serie A club after leaving Arsenal on a permanent deal over the summer, as he said: “I chose Turkey to go to the World Cup.”

The report adds that as soon as the January window the Uruguay international could already have offers to leave Turkey, especially if he has a good World Cup in Qatar with his country.

Milan have reached an agreement for the renewal of Ismael Bennacer’s contract but already in the summer the Rossoneri management followed the evolution of Torreira’s future with interest.

TMW add that it cannot be excluded Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara could go back in for Torreira to bolster the midfield, with the former Arsenal man valued at €15m but the Turkish club have an interest in Fode Ballo-Touré which could produce a possible intertwining.

There are even other clubs in Serie A that have already started testing the ground in view of the coming transfer windows, the report concludes.
