TMW: Milan’s stance outlined as Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal watch Tomori

By Oliver Fisher -

Several Premier League sides are in the market for a new centre-back and AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori has entered the sights of four clubs, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by TMW, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have been following Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace and Tomori for some time, both players in the England national team who were called up for the recent 2024 European Championship qualifiers.

The decision on the part of Eagles and the Rossoneri seems clear: they do not want to let their prized young defenders go, definitely not in January and if possible not next summer either.

Tomori renewed his contract with Milan until 2027 last year and spoke clearly about his future at the time as he posted on social media at the time: “Five years at home.”

Several English clubs have come forward to show their interest – even in the summer window that has just gone – asking for information from the club and the player regarding a potential transfer.

However, Milan have always protected Tomori by rejecting requests while the player also has been more than happy to stay. Next year, it seems some Premier League sides are ready to make him change his mind.

  1. This articles at the same time Inter is reportedly chasing Scalvini? Scalvini trading blue and black stripes would be extremely difficult to stomach.

The experience deficit does not look great on paper but I couldn’t sell Tomori and use that money to sign Scalvini quickly enough.

Scalvini is very likely already more reliable than Tomori, though I’d still try to find an experienced CB for the squad.

  2. Only sell if they offer crazy amount of money and invest it on scalvini. Scalvini, thiaw, gabbia, kalulu and pellegrino/ simic means little investment is required for centerback for the next 5 to 7 years

  3. Would be an absolute tragedy if Inter get Scalvini, I would swap any of our CBs for Scalvini in a heartbeat, sell Tomori and Atlanta can have kalulu as well if they want, no problem.

If inter can afford Italians, why can’t we, all this growth decree and cheap foreigners is bullshit and destroying the character of Milan, we need Italians
