TMW: Milan offer Fiorentina chance to sign €35m outcast Paqueta – the response

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have offered Fiorentina the chance to sign out-of-favour midfielder Lucas Paqueta on a loan deal, according to a report.

Paqueta was not called up by head coach Stefano Pioli for Friday’s trip to face Brescia, and Sky Italia reported that it was actually at the request of the Brazil international.

He came back into the fold for Tuesday’s 4-2 win over Torino in the Coppa Italia, but was an unused sub through 120 minutes of action (including extra time).

Vito Angele told us in a recent exclusive that PSG are interested but have so far only offered €20m for Paqueta, while any chances of a swap deal involving Federico Bernardeschi appears to be over.

Sportitalia then reported on Wednesday night that Fiorentina asked Milan about their chances of signing Paqueta before the window shuts at 8pm CET on Friday.

According to the TMW network, Fiorentina are in search of any possible last minute signings that would help the squad available to Iacini, and they are closing in on signing Alfred Duncan from Sassuolo.

Meanwhile, the report claims that Milan have actually offered La Viola the chance to sign Paqueta on loan for six months, but Fiorentina do not want to help develop a player from another team and would only accept if there was an option to buy inserted.
