TMW: Milan evaluating permanent signing of midfielder but Napoli show interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are thinking about permanently signing Aster Vranckx from Wolfsburg but a rival are also monitoring his situation, a report claims.

TMW report that despite the limited playing time he has had so far this season, Vranckx has so far impressed Milan who have been evaluating the best strategy to try and buy him on a permanent deal from Wolfsburg.

However, Napoli have also set their sights on the 20-year-old midfielder and would like to try and sign the Belgium U21 captain – who is on the fringes of the first team – in view of next season.

The Partenopei are apparently even willing to pay the €12m option to buy figure that was agreed with Milan as part of his loan deal, because they believe that he would be a good fit for Luciano Spalletti’s midfield in addition to having the potential to become a top player in the future.

    1. Speaking from a dump ass Ac milan fan.
You really don’t know anything at all, coz if you do,
you will know that vranckx is a good player.
he just needs more playing time to gel with the team.

So think before you speak thrash

      1. Based on what? Aside from the personal attacks, what is your argument? Why is he a good player? I haven’t seen much to imply that. If Napoli think he’s good maybe it is that he doesn’t fit in our system? Is he a mezzala then, since Napoli use a “flat” 3 in a 4-3-3? Because in the double pivot in our formation he’s shown nothing.

        1. And what is Zoro Caloro’s argument that he’s trash (aside that Aster is not Italian lol)??? Based on what? “ I Haven’t seen much to imply that”? Same applies no? If we pick him up it’s because M&M and Pioli see the potential if they don’t we will not. This is the problem. You cannot have a youth policy wherein you buy only young unproven raw players – then say they are shit if they don’t produce in a year or less lol. Makes no sense. All of these young kids are INVESTMENTS in the FUTURE – NOT proven established players. So based on that and the clubs own youth policy – we have to give them time. Otherwise what is the point of having this policy Investing in cheaper youth if we never give them the time to develop? Can’t have it both ways.

    2. He’s shown a damn sure lot more than Paqueta, Pobega, Bennacer, Krunic, even our midfield gem Sandro in his first season. All the above players save for Pobega are now top midfielders in their capacity. Why would we not risk the 12 Million esp considering we’ve partially developed his style to fit our play during his loan spell with us? Let alone the expense of keeping, paying and developing a player on loan only to hand him back yet he’s shown promise? He’s cost the Club money thus far so we can be an academy style club which we aren’t and develop other team’s players or we can be a top tier fc and keep players who grow under us. I say we go all in and pay the 12M or at least negotiate a lesser fee for a percentage of sell on profit later. Either way, we are not a small club who develop other team’s talent. For clarity see the Diaz situation were in now. We could have paid for him after his first spell but now he’s shown world class talent suddenly we’re at Madrids mercy. Milan fans are not rational thinkers in my opinion. We let Vranck go and we’ll only count our losses when he’s showing up for Bayern or Dortmund or God forbid Napoli three years from now. Let’s be a proud open to risk fan base as we once were ffs! Forza Milan! 🔴⚫️

      1. So you seriously believe vranxkx has shown more than pobega, tonali and benancer and krunic ? either you doesnt watch milans matches or you dont know shit about what you are talking about, simple as that and clearly there is no need to read the rest of what you wrote if you actually believe that,
When that is said im not completely against keeping vranckx but come on you are completely mentally deranged if you think vranckx has proven himself better than anyone of the players you mentioned. Absolutely preposterous to come up with such statement.

        1. I dont know what that dude drink . Aster are still below on tonali ,bennacer even krunic in first season . He can still develop because his young age . Aster progress i think equal to pobega on first season

          1. Pobegas first season in the first team is this one and he has played 23 combined matches over all competitions scoring 3 goals over 974 minutes which equals 10.8 full matches. Some of those goals has also been of great importance to us.
vranckx has played 9 matches combined over 2 tournaments and assisted 1 over 242 minutes equalling 2.7 full matches. Clearly he hasnt played as much as pobega but i dont see him performing any better or equal to pobega either infact if i remember correctly vranckx cost us the victory against roma last time we met and pobegas stats are actually pretty good for the minutes he has played.

    1. napoli cant just swoop in and buy him in front of us as we have the option to buy within the contract. Obviously they can do that only if we doesnt buy him propably set at the date of july first 2023.

      1. Yeah , if ACM refuse to use that buy option then napoli will get him , he is more cheaper & younger than ndombele ( napoli dont want to buy this flop ) . Our midfield if 433 formation next season : Tonali,Krunic,Bennacer,Pobega and 2 more still rumour but i hope aster & SMS

        1. even if we doesnt want to keep vranckx we might still be able to get a small profit if napoli actually has an interest in him but i wouldnt mind him staying either.
sms would be a dream come true
