TMW: Milan pushing to sign two strikers including Italy U21 international

AC Milan are currently leading the race to sign Andrea Belotti on a free transfer, according to the latest from one journalist.

In an editorial for TMW, Niccolo Ceccarini writes that Torino president Urbano Cairo has made it clear that Belotti will not renew his deal and therefore new scenarios are opening up ahead of the upcoming windows.

His contract expires in June 2022 and a free transfer is very likely at this point even though Torino will try to sell him in the winter so as to get some kind of recompense, but it is very difficult to imagine that a club will make an offer. Milan are ahead at the moment in the race to land him on a free transfer, but Inter may also swoop in as they will have to replace Alexis Sanchez.

Belotti is also attracting interest from Fiorentina, while Milan are keeping another option open as the journalist adds that the Rossoneri have begun to raise the pressure also for Lorenzo Lucca, who is top scorer in Serie B having fired Pisa to first place.
