TMW: Milan ready winter assault for €35m-rated Argentine

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul in January and have learned his asking price, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com recently claimed that Maldini is ‘a big fan’ of De Paul and has even told his agent Agustin Jimenez that the Rossoneri are interested in his client.

Milan have been linked with the Argentine since August, and a January move for the Argentine, who Calciomercato.com have previously suggested will cost at least €25m.

Now, Niccolo Ceccarini has offered an update for TMW (via MilanNews.itby claiming that Inter and Napoli have both come close to signing De Paul in the past.

Fiorentina have also tried, he adds, offering €30million plus €3m in bonuses and a percentage on the future resale in the final few hours of the summer transfer window.

The report goes on to claim that Milan are interested as they have ‘long been looking for a player with his characteristics’; someone who can play as a winger, trequartista or as a mezz’ala.

The idea would be to make an attempt in the winter, even if he is valued at €35million, Ceccarini concludes.
