Another name has come forward in AC Milan’s pursuit of midfield depth in Ellyes Skhiri, who could even reportedly arrive on a free transfer.
According to TMW, Milan have put an offer forward for Skhiri whose contract with FC Köln will expire at the end of the month. He is seen as a real opportunity, given that many clubs – including Roma – have put him in their sights.
Milan’s appeal is higher at the moment, but Crystal Palace have also made a bid and Skhiri asked for time to think about the two offers, because playing in England is the dream of all footballers but on the other hand the Rossoneri have Champions League football.
The decision was postponed until his return from the national team, with answer expected in the next few days after Tunisia’s game against Algeria tonight.
Milan have put on the table a three-year contract worth €2m net per year plus the option for a fourth year. The 28-year-old scored seven goals in the Bundesliga last season, all from midfield.
