TMW: Milan hold talks with agents of Aston Villa midfielder amid contract situation

By Isak Möller -

As the Renato Sanches operation is becoming increasingly complicated, AC Milan are looking at their options on the market. The latest player to be linked with the Rossoneri is Aston Villa man Douglas Luiz.

The Brazilian midfielder has one year left of his contract with the Premier League side and a decision thus needs to be made on the future. Milan, who are looking for a midfielder this summer, have set their sights on him.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Italian agents of Luiz were present at Casa Milan this afternoon to speak with the Rossoneri directors. A negotiation could take off in the coming days, depending on the Sanches saga.

The 24-year-old is seriously considering leaving Aston Villa, per the report, and it remains to be seen what the figures of the deal would be. Given the contract situation, Milan might get a good price in case they decide to move forward with their interest.

      1. This is for all the Milan fans who visit this website, I want to spread this hashtag but other Milan fans don’t seem to give a damn about the fact that we’re going to enter another banter era (in case Maldini leaves)

        1. We do care, if you look at the past articles about Maldini renewing you’ll see some of the articles with the most comments with us all frustrated we just don’t think it’s very useful spreading a hashtag on a website which is filled with people who agree to that hashtag, the most logical thing would be to post that hashtag on a social media like Twitter but even then I guarantee you it won’t have most reach. Don’t assume we don’t care about Maldini not renewing because at the end of the day we are all Milan fans after all this is a website all about Milan, so we want the best for our club and we trust in a legend like Maldini especially after what he has done recently

  1. These guys from Aston Villa are now waiting for an official offer and probably immediately look at the calendar how much time there is until April 1 !

  2. Yeah, a 40-50M€ player, and how much will we offer? 10M because his contract is expiring? I’m waiting on some realistic targets, we can’t sign a player like this.

  3. I like Luiz, skills, defensive play, offensive. Worth the try given his age and physical conditions. Pioli will work magic on Luiz. Sanchez was in any case a gamble given his history with injuries
