TMW: Milan turn down bid potentially worth €12m for Hauge – the Rossoneri’s stance

By Oliver Fisher -

Speculation is building that AC Milan could sell Jens Petter Hauge having received an offer for his services from Germany, according to a report.

Hauge only arrived from Bodo/Glimt in the summer window last year, but after a difficult second half of the 2020-21 campaign in which he struggles for playing time, there have been an abundance of rumours claiming that Milan could cash in on the Norwegian for a capital gain.

According to the latest from TMW, there has been an official offer from Eintracht Frankfurt for Hauge which is €7m fixed plus €5m in potential bonuses. Milan are asking for the fixed part to be increased, but the 22-year-old could leave for about €12m as per the source.

It is also expected that Eintracht’s Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg will make another attempt to sign him, and in any case the Bundesliga is a welcome destination for the player with more developments expected.

This talk of “struggling for playing time” shows the deficiency of the coach and not of the player. It would be stupid for Milan to sell him and then spend more money on a player who may not fit in the team.

Indeed! It is the unreasonably stubborn Pioli who did/do not give Hauge the playing time, even if Hauge is the hero to bring his team to top of EL group and scored some crucial goals both in Serie A an EL.

What Pioli did to Hauge i.e excluding EL list, is cruel, desturctive and unjustified!

It will be a huge mistake to sell Hauge now. His football intelligence and field vision are something this Milan lacks and desperately need.

  2. Bunga2 says:

Oh come on, that figure is too damn low, just keep him ffs.

  3. Tomato says:

Sell Pioli instead. No buy back clause neede.

I have a gut feeling he’s going to be sacked during the coming season. It will be a shame Huage is to be pushed out Milan because of mediocre Pioli!

Hauge is not a Maldini…the only reason they bought him is called “capital gain”, but they don’t even understand (or don’t want to) that his value is going to grow up if they let him play. But than again this is not my problem. I could wait another 10 years to go back in Champions without crying

  5. Shal says:

Just dry loan him if he doesn’t fit the squad. Or sell with buy-back option. Or keep for another season and triple his price. He is a pure talent. Reminds me young Kaka.

I just don’t know why it’s hard to see that when it’s all plain to us. Funny thing is that his last game was one that involved him saving us with a late goal

    2. El Zhar says:

Yeah, his way of dribbling to be precise..
& Brahim Diaz has similiar vibe too…
It’s a pity that management only think about the quick capital gain 😡 (from 5 to 12-15m)….

Sell Daniel Maldini instead. This is rubbish. Why make €12m now when you can make €50m from him in the future. I didn’t expect this from Maldini. Foolishly disrupted his growth in the Norwegian league and brought him here to treat him like trash. Then you see Krunic playing on the wing. Pioli now feels like he’s Guardiola for getting us to second. Is there something we don’t know about when it comes to Hauge cuz clearly the boy has talent and is arguably the best dribble in the team. The goal he scored against Milan in the EL clearly shows that he can play through the middle but instead we keep seeing Krunic playing as the 10. Ahh I feel sad for this boy but I hope he leaves and hunts us in the future. Look how good he was at Norway cuz he had the confidence of the coach and he proved his worth but even when Rebic and Leao are off for the coach keeps playing them and when he decides to change you see Krunic making his way into the pitch. Oh they want to sell Pobega too. It’s funny that we win the race to sign youngsters like Roback and Kerkez but they end up disappearing without a trace. God help us cuz I think the youth system is dead. There’s no point having all these talent and never giving them a chance. Locatelli

Maldini and Pioli is particular should be sanctioned and sacked respectively. How on planet earth will they consider a selling a pure breed of talent with a fantastic season he had with us, yet the playing time is low but this young lad did great when introduced by our clueless coach. This boy should be made to play as 10 and also on the wing. He is a versatile, energetic, speedy, talented, a good passer of the ball, good in dribbling, technically gifted and has eyes for goal. We need to protect this lad.
I see him as the 2nd coming of the prodigy Dos Santos Izecson Leite Kaka. We would have another ballon d’or if we keep Hauge. Maldini should be careful with his decision on this potential lad.
