TMW: Napoli set to rival Milan for Bayern Munich midfielder

Napoli are entering the fray to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich despite the Dutchman being linked with a move to AC Milan, a report claims.

As has been reported by TMW (via Milan News), the current Serie A champions have taken a liking to Gravenberch and there is a reason why they may have an advantage over Milan.

Napoli have already been in regular talks with Bayern Munich this summer for the sale of South Korean defender Kim Min-jae. With an already open dialogue, a deal for Gravenberch to move on loan could be reached.

That being said, the hefty salary of the Dutchman is a stumbling block for the Azzurri. Milan may not find themselves particularly bothered by Napoli’s interest if they can secure the deal for Yunus Musah quickly.

He would be the third midfielder to sign after Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders, so a fourth is not easy to imagine.

  1. Good player would love to see him here however we need a DM… none of these players we’re linked with besides Dominguez are DM…

  2. It would be a big defeat to loose him to another Italian team – and a great win to bring him.
At the moment we have lost any player our management wanted (according to the media) mostly to Italian rivals. Let’s hope we win this one, it might be the most important.

  3. Ok, I just have one question!
How’s Milan gonna line up, and first of all, which players are gonna be signed for the UCL games!? Cuz, as we “all know it”, 8 players need to be “Home Grown”… So, who are the 8 guys we gonna use in this year’s CL games, who are Italian?!

    1. So far, homegrown players in our current team :

      Club-trained :
      – Calabria
      – Colombo
      – Gabbia
      – Pobega

      Association-trained :
      – Florenzi
      – Sportiello
      – Mirante
      – Caldara

And the homegrown players don’t need to be Italian, they only need to be trained at Italian club for at least 2 years before their 21st birthday.
For example, Marco Lazetic and Luka Romero will count towards homegrown players when they reach their 21st birthday.

And if we sign Singo, he will also count as Association-trained homegrown player.
