AC Milan are not just satisfied with the renewals of Alexis Saelemaekers and Simon Kjaer as they are also working to find agreements with three more players.
There had been persistent rumours over the past couple of weeks stating that Kjaer is closing in on extending his deal with the Rossoneri, which was set to expire in June 2022, and tonight the club confirmed that he has extended his stay by two years until 2024.
According to the latest from TMW, Milan have very clear ideas about their strategy to tie down their young core, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara ploughing ahead to try and secure their jewels. Kjaer has committed his future for another two years and before him Saelemaekers renewed until 2026.
Those two are hopefully not the only renewals that Milan will announce as the management are working to extend Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer and Theo Hernandez. The plan is to get pen on paper from the winger, the midfielder and the full-back in the coming year.
Maldini, Massara and the ownership have a very clear intent to avoid the Donnarumma, Calhanoglu and Kessie situations happening again and to be more proactive.
