TMW: Pochettino’s directive key as Milan hope to sign Chelsea forward

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been linked with a move for Armando Broja in previous windows and now they have rekindled their desire to sign him, a report claims.

According to a report from TMW, Milan have reignited their pursuit of Broja in the last few hours and they have begun talks with Chelsea about the possibility of signing him, though the response is not positive at the moment.

Chelsea are reluctant to let the Albanian forward leave at the moment, but above all because the new coach Mauricio Pochettino first wants to have an idea of what the next few days brings in the transfer window.

The ideal formula for the Rossoneri – if the Blues were to open their stance slightly – would be a loan with option to buy. Broja has just recovered from an ACL injury that kept him out since last December and required surgery, so needs consistent minutes to get back to 100%.

  1. A player coming back from a major injury and we are putting all our chips on him and no one knows his physical conditions yet or have seen him play a competitive game since the injury but that’s who we are banking on.. Origi version 2.0

  2. I think he’s the right profile for us, yes he’s a big, strong guy but he’s not just another target man, he can run in behind, shoot from distance, and is always a handful for defenders. The injury is a worry but a loan with extras based on how much he plays seems like it a smart move.

  3. Broja is a good player and all, perhaps really promising, but that injury was a pretty nasty one. I think lets try for PSG’s Ekitiké instead.

  4. We still have Colombo & Lazetic as Giroud’s Deputy though. But additional quality like Broja, at cheap price is a good thing too.
