AC Milan face strong competition from a number of other European clubs in the race for Barcelona defender Emerson Royal, a report claims.
Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti have struggled for consistency all season leading to suggestions from a number of different media outlets that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will look to address the issue by signing a new starter.
According to the TMW network, Milan have already met the entourage of Emerson Royal to sound out the possibility of a summer move for the Brazilian, who is on loan at Real Betis from Barcelona until 2021.
At the moment the Rossoneri are only willing to pay €20million, but Barça are continuing to ask for €30m, in large part because they would owe a loan cancellation fee to Betis plus 50% of future resale.
As a result, Paris Saint-Germain have now entered the race as their sporting director Leonardo has personally inquired about the situation of Emerson in the last few hours.
PSG are looking for a full-back in view of the next season and Emerson’s profile has ended up on their wish list.
