TMW: PSG’s stance outlined as Valencia join the race for €45m Milan midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

A new club have entered the race to sign AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the upcoming transfer window, a report claims.

Paqueta has not had the easiest time in the last few months having slipped down the pecking order under head coach Stefano Pioli, but he recently claimed he feels ‘at home’ with Milan.

According to the TMW network (via MilanLive), Milan have put Paqueta on the market, meaning he will be sold if an acceptable offer arrives this summer.

Fiorentina are continuing to follow him, but Paquetà is pushing to go to a ‘top club’. Paris Saint-Germain remain observant, but their sporting director Leonardo is looking for a more proven player like Sergej Milinkovic-Savic or Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Benfica remain in the background, but the salary problem is a big hurdle. However, now LaLiga side Valencia have entered the race, and the player is making evaluations but for the moment – just like the idea of a Fiorentina move – he is not convinced.

The player is essentially waiting for a concrete attempt from PSG, as he feels he has earned the chance to prove himself at a big club.

It was recently reported that the Rossoneri paid €35million plus €10million bonuses to sign Paqueta from Flamengo, therefore a combined €45m.
