As you would expect this morning, the talk of the Italian press is AC Milan’s new signing, Mario Gila, who will join on a five-year deal.
A deal for Gila was always expected to be wrapped up shortly after the weekend. So, once the first official bid of €27 million went in, no one was too surprised when Milan instantly started to look at another bid when it was rejected.

Late yesterday afternoon, then, with the parties only a few million apart, a deal was found. Indeed, as Fabrizio Romano broke, the Rossoneri will now pay €30m for the Spaniard, who can boost the level of the defence instantly.
As a whole, the reaction has been rather positive amongst the fans and media, and the press follows the same pattern, as can be seen below with today’s front pages.
