Tomori discusses ‘special night’ in Turin for Milan but warns: “Nothing is done yet”

By Isak Möller -

In Milan’s 3-0 win against Juventus earlier this evening, Fikayo Tomori was one of the goalscorers and it was it first for the Rossoneri. An important signal from the centre-back, who had made a few mistakes in recent weeks.

The Chelsea loanee did really well throughout the game and earned 8/10 in our player ratings, not only doing his job perfectly at the back but also scoring a wonderful goal. Once again, therefore, he showed why Milan wanted him so badly.

In an interview with MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Tomori spoke about the crucial win and also praised the Rossoneri fans. They were present at Milanello this morning to cheer on the team ahead of the trip to Turin.

On the goal scored and the victory…

“It was a very special night for us. I’m happy to have scored my first goal but the most important thing was the team’s victory. This result and the goal made the night special.”

On the push of the fans at Milanello…

“Our fans were great. They supported us a lot. It was great to see the passion of the fans and it was sad not to see them at the stadium. I was not used to seeing something like this, it surprised me a lot. I hope it was a great gift for them, tonight’s victory that is.”

On upcoming games…

“Certainly many great matches await us. This victory gives us an advantage but nothing is done yet. Now we have to continue like this and stay focused on Torino. Then we think about Cagliari and Atalanta.”

Milan will take on Torino in their next game, scheduled for Wednesday, and they have a golden opportunity to get even closer to the Champions League return. Hopefully, they will pull it off in the end.
