Fikayo Tomori has confirmed that he is happy at AC Milan and that he will always give everything for the club until his final day.
Heading into the summer, it would be fair to say that there were some doubts regarding Tomori’s future. Coming off the back of a difficult season personally (and for the team), there were rumours that a move back to the Premier League could be on the cards.

However, all the signs from preseason so far suggest that Massimiliano Allegri wants to take a look at the Englishman. In fact, La Gazzetta dello Sport even claimed that the new coach sees a bit of Andrea Barzagli in him, the legendary Juventus defender he worked with for years.
‘Always said I was happy’
Tomori spoke to La Gazzetta after the friendly against Perth Glory, before the team took off on their flight back to Italy to continue preparations ahead of the news season.
Are you happy at Milan?
“I’ve always said I was happy here, and until the last day I wear this shirt, I’ll give everything for Milan. It will always be like this.”
What’s the aim for this season?
“We’ll have to think game by game, and in the end, we’ll see what happens. This is the time to work, not to make calculations or proclamations.”
What has Allegri been like so far?
“The thing the coach told us right away, and we knew it well, is that we lack consistency. Last year we had too many ups and downs in performance, and this season we need to be more concrete and more balanced.
“We’ve understood what the coach wants, and we’re getting used to it because these are different demands than in the past. We’re working hard and well. We’re preparing, and when the three points are up for grabs, you’ll see that we’ll be ready.”
Do you prefer the three or four-man defence?
“The role I’m playing now is good for me because my characteristics include speed and aggression. With a three-man or five-man line, I can be more free to move out and tackle opponents. I’ve felt comfortable in it and I think I can continue to do well.”
How did the friendlies go in your eyes?
“The first match after two weeks of preparation, there were a few things that needed improving, but it wasn’t a bad match, and I saw some good things against Arsenal too.
“However, it’s undeniable that we did even better against Liverpool , and that Milan played well. We tried new and different things against the Australians. It’s useful for improving.”
Makes a lot of sense to keep tomori. All 4 central defenders last year (tomori, gabbia, pavlovich and thiaw) had their ups and downs but last year’s coaches were both huge flops!!!! Sure the 4 of them will redeem themselves this year.
He likes the 5 man defense game??? So will Milan just defend themselves, so that this gentleman can make trips and have someone cover and correct his stupidity in the game??? I’m glad that PSG broke the myth of a 5-man defense in the Champions League final, with much better players than Milan have now.
