Tomori praises centre-back colleagues Kjaer and Romagnoli: “They help me a lot”

By Isak Möller -

Fikayo Tomori will head into the new season as a Milan player, after spending the second half of last season on loan from Chelsea. He’s one of the key players and we can only hope that he will continue to grow.

When he arrived back in January, he quickly cemented his spot in the starting eleven, replacing captain Alessio Romagnoli. The latter is now eager to get his spot back and it’s safe to say competition will be tougher this upcoming season.

In an interview with Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), which was published this morning, Tomori was asked about the partnership with Simon Kjaer and Romagnoli. He made it clear that the atmosphere is very good.

“Two great champions, they are helping me a lot in my personal growth. On the pitch but also off it. Romagnoli is the captain, he speaks to me in English and this helps me. I have an excellent feeling with him and with Kjaer,” he stated.

It remains to be seen what the starting centre-back pairing will be this upcoming season, but it’s also clear that Milan have three very good defenders. This is a bonus seeing as they will compete in three competitions this season.
