Fikayo Tomori has become the latest to concede that AC Milan weren’t at their best in Verona, but was ‘happy’ with the important win.
Milan got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Hellas Verona on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio Bentegodi. After defeats in the last two rounds against Napoli and Udinese, it was important for the Rossoneri to react and produce a more solid defensive display.

It was one moment just before half-time that won a game with very little quality, from both sides in truth. Rafael Leao provided a nice through ball to Adrien Rabiot who had darted through on goal, with the Frenchman finishing past the Verona goalkeeper to score the only goal.
Tomori returned to the line-up with a clean sheet and he spoke alongside the match-winner Rabiot in a post-match interview with DAZN. MilanNews transcribed what the defender had to say.
Is Rabiot right when he says you could have done more?
“Yes, we know [we could have]. But at this point in the season, the important thing is to get points. Now we have to recover, we can do better against Juve. We’re happy with the three points and we’re trying to achieve our goal.”
