Tonali urges Milan teammates to ‘stay focused’ in Roma clash: “We have worked hard”

By Isak Möller -

After two consecutive defeats in the league, and four games without a win in all comps, Milan will be looking to clinch all three points away at Roma this evening. Sandro Tonali is one of the Rossoneri players that will star.

The young midfielder was rested mid-week as Milan took on Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League. However, with Ismael Bennacer out injured, Tonali’s return to the starting XI for this clash was more or less certain.

After a rought start to his Rossoneri adventure, the former Brescia man has picked himself up and has looked positive in the last few weeks. In an interview with Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, he spoke about tonight’s game.

On tonight’s game…

“We need clarity and strength from everyone, we must stay focused until the end.”

On the moment…

“We have to work on the enthusiasm, what we have always done during the year. We have to find it as soon as possible, already tonight, we have worked hard these days. We are a great group and we have shown it so far.”

Hopefully, he can build on his positive moment and help the Rossoneri get back to winning ways. It would be a massive win, not just with regards to the standings, but also confidence-wise for all of the players.
