Torino president Urbano Cairo has put the ball firmly in Andrea Belotti’s court regarding a renewal amid reports linking the striker with Milan.
The issue regarding Milan’s striker situation could very well rear its head once again in the foreseeable future as there are doubts whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic will sign a new deal and play into his 40s, while Mario Mandzukic is also on an initial six-month contract.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recently reported that Milan could go back in for Andrea Belotti over the coming months if they are forced to find a new starting centre-forward.
Earlier today, Urbano Cairo spoke after the Lega assembly in Milano about the future of Belotti, and revealed that while a renewal offer will be tabled it will be up to the player to commit to the club again.
“We have already extended once and our will is to renew again. Everything depends on Belotti. We are ready to make an advantageous offer, clearly it is he who has to convince himself about our project,” he said (via MilanLive).
