The weekend’s defeat to Lazio reinforced that this team may not be ready to fight for the title, and with cracks showing, it is certainly fair to suggest that teams may be licking their lips at the chance to play the Rossoneri in their current state.
Torino’s rebirth
Unfortunately, there is one team already hungry for more after their recent run, and as Gazzetta dello Sport writes, that is this weekend’s opponents, Torino. Since the appointment of Roberto D’Aversa, as Milan Press relays, the club have been reborn with a newfound enthusiasm, winning two of their last three games.
Even yesterday, the club held an open-door training session, which was well attended, perhaps lessening the toxicity around the Granata.
Things have been undoubtedly aided by a return to form for Che Adams and Duvan Zapata, who have contributed four times between them in the past five games, and D’Aversa could be further aided by the return of Zakaria Aboukhlal, who may be ready to play this weekend.
